sometimes things happen and, for whatever reason, i can’t tell the whole story here.  

so things happened today that left me feeling like molly ringwald when she found out blaine didn’t want to go to prom with her.  he led her on for all those weeks and then at the last minute could hardly be bothered to tell her he couldn’t deal with her originality and what that might mean for him, so he’d changed his mind.

and so she went anyway, on her own terms, with her darling pal, duckie, who loves her just the way she is.

the whole day has left me impossibly grateful for my cadre of darling pals who, like duckie, love me just the way i am.
